The old, traditional ways of renewing road tax can be scrapped off! No more hassles on getting the bank to pass you the car grant etc. As long as you have renewed your insurance (motor) you can renew your road tax online as they have all the documents they need on their database.

When your insurance agent tells you that the motor insurance is ready, just go to this site - http://www.myeg.com.my/ to fill in your particular details etc.. They have your required information there itself.. Mode of payment includes service charge and delivery which comes in a very minimal fee! Isn't it great? Plus.... if you were to submit your payment (via maybank2u or the option of credit card etc) before 11.15am, you can even get it on the same day! Wonderful! Something to be proud of being a Malaysian.. at least something's working fast! *thumbs up*

Stop And Stare

Just don't understand why some parties can make our law system such a joke.. Singaporean-based model accepts punishment for drinking beer? Have you seen the tormenting crimes that are continuously happening in our country? Do we let off these criminals and punish the unduly, petty ones? Systems are getting ridiculous and people are being more meticulously cautious about their surroundings.

Sometimes what people say may not be entirely right. Have you ever stop to listen and smell the roses for a moment? Think bout it.. Deep breaths.. Listen to this..

Stand tall on what you think is right. With all the problems that are happening these days, it's a wonder how we can still manage to cope with this thing called life. That's the true beauty of human perseverance.

What's the buzz 'bout making promises?

A Promise is defined as "a declaration, written or verbal, made by one person to another, which binds the person who makes it to do, or to forbear to do, a specified act; a declaration which gives to the person to whom it is made a right to expect or to claim the performance or forbearance of a specified act." (source: http://www.dictionary.net/promise)

So what's so special about this promise thing?

Well to some perspective, a promise can mean numerous things and can even cause foreboding issues, for instance, if you promise that you will deliver a work, you have to fulfill it, in return, if the person owes you the fruit of your labour, and promises to return it to you, that person SHOULD by right honour it. What if the 'promiser' doesn't honour it?

Well religions across the globe require the practitioners to do good, no religion preaches negative things. It may all be in the interpretation of the holy book (if there's any in that religion's point of view) that may be wrong. Human error is 90% more likely to cause this than any other cause known.

To certain extend the law of nature derives the works of human to be in a form of a cycle. Some relates it to karma defined as "the doctrine of fate as the inflexible result of cause and effect; the theory of inevitable consequence." (Source: http://www.dictionary.net/karma). When you betray someone's trust, the cycle loops back and forth. Any wrong doings will be reflected back upon you somehow.

In any ways possible, a promise is meant to be honoured. Otherwise, don't even make the damn promise.. It can be quite tormenting to the other party, thus unless you can fulfill it, best keep the mouth shut.. As the saying goes, "Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned.." Don't infuriate a woman.. :)

If you have problems with your employer (speaking in the sense of an employee because we are often the victims), please look up to links that can help you with the issues you're facing.

The internet has a wide array of help (forums etc) you can get from, i.e. http://www.lawyerment.com.my

Also, you are now able to lodge a report if you find that you have been abused of your rights besides opting to go to the labour office, EPF office, Income Tax office, Socso office or the like (applicable for those working in Malaysia), you can also do it all online..

  • EPF - The Employee Provident Fund that you contribute for your personal savings i.e. for old age and even allows you to withdraw for any sense of investments such as the ka-chings needed for purchasing a house etc.
  • Income Tax (LHDN) - The Income Tax department for you to be a good citizen and contribute your taxes to..
  • Socso - In case of any problems you may have (touch wood) such as an accident that left you crippled or so, your contributions to this company will entitle you to be taken care of in terms of a certain amount of money to be contributed to you for your living expenses.
  • Labour Office - Mostly protects the lower income group but you can report any problems you have with your employer should there be a need to..

You are able to view your contributions to these parties as well as seek guidance or report any problems you have, so long as you have an account with them of course. To open an account, you will be required to (at least yourself or the company you are attached to), to fill up some legal documents as well as to bring along the necessary details of the company you are working with together with some IDs from your end. You are then entitled to open an online account and help yourselves with the necessary things you may need to do online. Saves time and effort! Save yourselves by knowing more!

Toodles~ Hope this post helps..
